NOTICE OF PROPOSED ADOPTION OF A SCHOOL FACILITIES NEEDS ANALYSIS AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ALTERNATIVE SECTION 65995.5 and 65995.7 FACILITY FEE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Morgan Hill Unified School District will consider input from the public on the proposed adoption of a School Facility Needs Analysis (“SFNA”) for the District and the establishment of an increased “Alternative Section 65995.5 and 65995.7 School Facility Fee” (“Level 2 Fee”) on new residential developments.  The adoption of the SFNA and the establishment of the Level 2 Fee are necessary to fund the construction of school facilities necessary to maintain current levels of educational services in the District and to accommodate growth due to development.

Members of the public are invited to comment in writing, on or before Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 6:00pm or appear in person at the hearing on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at 6:00pm at the following location:

Materials regarding the SFNA and the Level 2 Fee are on file and are available for public review at the District Office located at 15600 Concord Circle, Morgan Hill, CA 95037.  The fee, if approved by the governing board, will become effective March 8, 2017 in the amount of $3.84.  If you need additional information concerning the adoption of the SFNA and/or the establishment of the Level 2 Fee, please contact Anessa Espinosa, Director of Facilities at (408) 201-6087.

Any person challenging the adoption of the SFNA or the establishment of the Level 2 Fee in court of competent jurisdiction after the conclusion of the public hearing may be limited to only those issues raised at the hearing or in correspondence delivered to the school district prior to the hearing.
