Live Oak High School recognized at the Celebrating Upstanders 2015 Asset Champions Breakfast

At the Santa Clara County Convention Center on Friday March 20, Live Oak High School was recognized at the Celebrating Upstanders 2015 Asset Champions Breakfast.
Principal Lloyd Webb, students and, staff were presented with the prestigious award recognizing the Most Caring High School Climate in the Silicon Valley. Of particular mention was the group called Student Voices, formed by the Live Oak student body  with the goal of creating a culture of unity, respect, and acceptance about the larger student body and all differences in the community.
The symbol for the group is the Live Oak Diversity Tree, and the motto is: “UNITED AT THE ROOTS. WE ARE ALL BRANCHES OF THE SAME TREE.”  Setting an example for all of us, the students leaders were quoted in the program: “if we can find unity among the students of different clubs, surely adults can find common ground as well.”
Congratulations Live Oak student body and the school staff who developed the exemplary caring school climate!
